Fair Helen of Kirconnell

PART FIRST

Helen is addressed by her lover who says he is dying for love of her and begs her to take pity on him and save his life.

PART SECOND

Helen’s lover mourns her death. Helen had died to save him when she intercepted a bullet fired at him by his rival and the lover had immediately pursued his foe and cut him to pieces with his sword. The lover hears Helen calling to him from her grave on Kirconnell Lee and longs to join her.
